Gallery > A decorative top to a barge rudder
I have been asked to replicate a decorative top to a rudder belonging to an old barge which features carved decoration of a 'horn of plenty' which traditionally shows food and flowers emerging from them. On one side there is a plant with berries and the reverse shows a similar plant but with acorns. Carved in oak, the brief is to replicate the design but with some small additions/changes and to then complete with painting in similar colours to the original.
